Jones
County Holding Community Health Needs Assessment Meeting March 12

Per the
direction of the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and as a
performance measure of the Local Public Health Services Contract
(LPHSC), every five years local boards of health lead a discussion with
stakeholders regarding community health needs and a plan to address
these identified needs. This process is known as the Community
Health Needs Assessment and Health Improvement Plan (CHNA-HIP).
Community Health of Jones County (CHJC) will be holding our first
CHNA-HIP meeting for interested community stakeholders on Friday, March
12th, from 9-11 am at the Community Room in the Jones County
Courthouse. We will be looking at data from a variety of sources,
as well as our 2005 CHNA-HIP report, and begin our process to identify
needs in Jones County. We would also welcome ideas from
stakeholders on what they see as needs in the community. The
CHNA-HIP process will include active participation in planning as well
as being a part of the improved services for our future. We
would like to invite you to attend our meeting and participate in our
discussions and the CHNA-HIP process.
We look forward to seeing you on March 12th and having a lively
discussion on how we might make Jones County a healthier place to live,
work and enjoy life.
