Expanded Help Offered at Local FEMA Center Posted 22 June 2008 Disasters such as the flood experienced by Jones County can place people under a great deal of stress.  At times this stress can be severe enough to cause mental health problems.  Seeking help from mental health professionals at these times can make it easier to handle the challenges of rebuilding your homes and neighborhood.  Assistance with mental health issues will be available at the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center for Individual Assistance at the Anamosa West Middle School Annex at the following times: Monday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. -  Staff from Abbe Center for Community Mental Health will be there to assist you. Wednesday, June 25, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Staff from Jones County Community Services will be there to assist you. Friday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Staff from Jones County Community Services will be there to assist you. Tuesday, July 1, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Staff from Jones County Community Services will be there to assist you. Thursday, July 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Staff from Jones County Community Services will be there to assist you. You may also contact Jones County Community Services at 319-462-4457.  The office is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
