Anamosa
Council Discusses JRMC Water Main Issue
Posted 19 June 2008
This week, members of the Anamosa City Council discussed running a new
city water main to the new Jones Regional Medical Center (JRMC).
Much of the conversation involved making sure the new water main was in
compliance with the city’s subdivision ordinance and how it would be
funded.
JRMC’s site plan was the original issue, but how the water main would
reach the new hospital became key in the discussion.
Members of the council, after much debate, approved JRMC's site plan,
contingent upon resolution of the water extension requirement, its
funding and the review and approval in February 2009 of the landscaping
plan.
